Introduction
ArtsHub: Zinc Etching Printmaking
Introduction & Session
Unlock your creative potential and embark on a transformative artistic journey through a series of zinc etching workshops. Adam invites you to explore your ideas through the technique of monotype/ monoprints using phenomenological approaches to their production.
You will expand upon your artistry through transferring these monoprints/ monotypes into zinc etching prints, utilising hard and soft ground etching, using acid to bite the plates, working towards aquatinting and printing in both monochrome and colour printmaking.
We will push the boundaries of traditional printmaking and drawing: delving into experimental
mixed-media techniques. Join Adam Grose and experience the joy of creating freely without
preconceptions, cultivating new skills, and embracing personal growth.
· The first five weeks will explore Monoprints & Monotype printmaking and its application to
an etching plate (Acrylic).
· The second five weeks will expand upon these etchings, furthering through the use
of zinc plates, acid biting and aquatinting (grey-toning) through using monochrome and colour layer printmaking.
