With over 120 entries from 11 to 25 year olds we present the TYCA Open Arts Competition Exhibition October 13th and 24th 2020.
These wonderful and diverse works will be exhibited in CICCIC’s new digital gallery. A 17 screen gallery space that allows us to showcase the 120 entries. Director, Andrew Knutt said:
“Our gallery usually accommodates around 40 traditional framed pictures but with our new digital gallery we are able to showcase much more, and having TYCA Festival utilise this amazing asset we are able to show all work”.
The works on display include self portraits from a Special School and many standard schools and colleges iun the area.
Themed work around social issues that matter to the young people in the community are also shown.
“This is the first time we can reduce the cost burden of framing for those that entered and we are so pleased to have the support and digital skills that CICCIC has shared with us” said Liz Hutchinson, curator and organiser from GoCreate.
