Be prepared to be amazed with top class musicianship from players of blues band The Producers, Harry Skinner, Biff Smith and Dave Saunders who now in 2025 have reversed with 3 of the original band now playing as band ‘Mule’ and a large ‘covers’ selection, with selected Producers songs thrown into the mix. This is a rare occasion to see this top class Blues band playing Classic rock and timeless tunes you’ll know when you hear them!
Over more than 30 years The Producers produced 11 albums, the first ‘Ain’t no Love in the World’ winning the ‘Blues Album of the Year’ award, with the last ‘London Blues’ being on both CD and double vinyl LP.
They featured in session live on the ‘Paul Jones’ show on BBC Radio 2 as well as the Johnny Walker and Bob Harris shows, received airplay around the world especially California where they seem to have a big radio following and Macedonia where they once shut down the phone lines to a radio station after it played a Producers track and was inundated with requests for more!.
They’ve had many guests appearing with them both live and in the studio including Jethro Tull’s Martin Barre, the Blues Bands Dave Kelly, Ben Waters, The Groundhogs Tony McPhee, Andy Fairweather Low and, at the Cognac Blues Festival in France, the brass section of the Ray Charles Orchestra including the Raelets!
They travelled to Australia, New Zealand, the USA, the Bahamas, all over the UK and most of Europe, played at or headlined most of the major blues festivals in the UK, Ireland and Europe plus the Tauranga Jazz and Blues Festival in New Zealand, Freeport Blues Festival in the Bahamas and the Atlanta Blues Festival USA.
During all these shows they have always included some surprising covers that have amazed audiences with both the musicianship and choice of song, and you have a unique opportunity to see them perform at CICCIC.
