It is with regret that we have to cancel this event due to the government’s announcement for people not to attend theatres, pubs and venues (see https://tinyurl.com/t6ssvqa). Therefore, it would seem appropriate to cancel the event and reschedule it for another date.

Taunton Arts Business Cultural Alliance (TABCA) cordially invite you to an arts and culture providers and community groups meeting and discussion on Thursday March 26th at Creative Innovation Centre CIC (CICCIC), Taunton at 7pm-9pm.
The focus for the evening will be around the possibility of Taunton getting a large multi-purpose venue; whether that be a new build or reclaiming the Gaumont (Mecca Bingo); and what would that mean for your organisation and how your organisation may benefit from such developments.
This meeting has been arranged because it has become clear that many of the music, theatre, arts and other arts and culture organisations have not been represented or canvassed for their input.
We not only encourage the subsidised cultural sector but also the commercial, amateur and participatory which, after all, are where most people find their cultural engagement. We are interested not just in publicly-funded venues, art galleries, theatres and museums, important as these are; but also commercial film, music and literature; young people getting together in a band, amateur choirs, local art clubs and reading groups, and people crafting at home or in local clubs; as well as those engaging in prisons, hospitals and care homes. Whether Dance, Film, Literature, Theatre, Music, Visual Arts, Community, Food & Craft, History & Heritage, Festivals, Traditional Arts and many more we would like to see your organisation as part of this conversation.
This event is for arts and culture providers and community groups only.
