Join us for amazing journey of music with some of the most qualified musicians around and with music from some of the best composers of all time with this Sunday lunch concert at CICCIC.
The Fitzwarren Trio are a group of talented woodwind players, playing various flutes and clarinets from the piccolo to the bass clarinet and showcasing their skills in a wide range of musical styles.
In this pre Sunday Lunch concert, you will hear some popular classics by composers such as Vivaldi, Schubert and Sullivan (of Gilbert and Sullivan), some folk tunes and pieces written by Jeannette Owen and Alice Thomas who are members of the trio. These pieces are often inspired by the local landscape and the lives of the composers, such as their families, pets and travels.
Alice, Amanda and Jeannette have all studied their instruments at London music colleges and Jeannette has also studied composition. Alice and Jeannette work as professional musicians in the local area and Amanda travels from Devon to join them in weekly rehearsals and frequent concerts.
As regular visitors to CICCIC, they are looking forward to sharing their love of playing together with you, and with refreshments at hand and a beautiful Victorian hall you are guaranteed a musical experience that you’ll never forget.
