CICCIC continues to deliver a range of arts and culture events and workshops within the rural communities in the Somerset West & Taunton area. Rural Art Classes Set for Autumn 2022 11th Oct – 15th Nov. Tuesdays 10-1pm.

This Autumn we are delivering the very popular  art classes at Pitminster Village Hall where professional art tutor Janet Glynn Smith will be delivering art classes over a 6 week period for just £60 which includes materials and visual resources.

Observing ‘The Everyday Object  to Abstraction’.

This series of workshops  will provide the opportunity to draw from observation, a variety of  found,  everyday objects investigating shape and form. 

A broad range of  materials and techniques  will be used to progress work from drawing through to completed painted compositions.

Practical demonstrates and working samples will be provided along  with   basic materials. Historical  and contextual reference examples will be provided to further support an understanding of Abstraction in a 2 dimensional format.

This programme of practical study would accommodate both beginners and experienced artists, offering all, the opportunity to investigate, experiment  and enjoy the creative process in a friendly and  supportive environment.
