Renowned Somerset musicians and former Thunderbridge Bluegrass founders Nick Girone-Maddocks and Jules Bushell are set to return to CICCIC on Sep 16th 2022.

In their latest venture, songwriter Nick’s latest CD, and much of his solo and Thunderbridge back-catalogue, are being performed by his new Trio, which features Jules on bass and double bass, and Glen Davey on drums. Nick handles all the singing and guitar duties in a contrasting performance of two sets – one acoustic and one electric.

Having had their musical adventures put on ‘hold’ due to the pandemic, the trio are so pleased to be out gigging again, and this is their second visit to CICCIC. “It’s what we do!” said Nick, who is also a familiar face around the region’s music scene. “Whether it’s to a huge festival crowd, or a smaller Arts Centre audience, we love performing and getting these songs out there to some new ears!. The sets comprise mainly my compositions, covering four solo albums and some re-worked Thunderbridge material thrown in for good measure, and of course there is much focus on the latest CD “British Southwestern”, Nick said. “There’s some country, blues, rock n roll and all sorts in between – something for everyone for sure”.
