At CICCIC we have always supported grass roots music and made an effort to support the local music scene and the music ecosystem in our town.
Over the last 12 years we have
- Delivered over 1,500 live music events.
- Supported over 7,000 musicians.
- An audience over 100,000 people.
- Paid out nearly £1m for musicians and artist fees with 80% going to local artists.
But we are so close to closure and don’t want to lose this important grass roots music venue, and are asking musicians from all music genres and talents to donate a gig or music activity.
We are not asking you to play for free as you will always have your travel costs so we will cover basic fees and as always provide free drinks. We just can’t afford to pay your full fee but if you play for us we can use ticket revenue to generate much needed income.
What kind of gig or activity are you looking for?
At this point we’d be happy with any suggestions, but your gig donation will still have to satisfy the quality that ticket holders are willing to pay for. You can use our sound equipment and be part of our live music programming.
You may decide to do a music workshop or other type of music activity. Whatever ideas you have we are open to suggestions.
