To accompany our venue hire services we now offer filming and Live Streaming Services.
From informal coffee mornings with the wider team to live streaming talks or presentations to full blown live performances in the evening, CICCIC has you covered, whatever the occasion.
This video service also allows us/you to keep the videos so we can share them with you after the event so you can edit or use in full on your own marketing and social media channels.
How it Works
Our inhouse team use two high quality Sony video cameras, which are cabled to a computer that allows us to transmit through the internet and record video, interchange between camera shots, and to ensure quality sound is recorded those presenting also wear a high-quality lapel microphone.
We also use industry standard software to live stream to several social platforms at once, however, we commonly use Facebook & YouTube but also have the option to stream to:
• Twitter
• LinkedIn
• TikTok
• Instagram
• Amazon Live
• Twitch
Costs
Depending on the size and type of event, live streaming requires 1-2 operators and requires a test phase before the event.
Commonly a 1-operator scenario means that both cameras are fixed and therefore only offers 2 fixed angles and focus for recording. A 2-operator scenario is when the event requires an operator to change the focus of the cameras on a regular basis e.g., if the speaker of the event moves around or demonstrates a certain physical item.
1-operator scenario – £50 + vat per hour
2-operator scenario – £85 + vat per hour
Please note that day rates can be offered.
If your event involves live music, then a further charge for a sound engineer is required and may have limitations based on instruments used.
What You Need to Prepare
PowerPoint
You can just turn up on the day of your event and simply allow us to film the content. However, if you are live streaming and using PowerPoint your online viewers will need to see your slides. In this scenario we prefer not to film the PowerPoint screen but have copies of slides so we can upload quality copies for online viewing. We convert these slides to jpeg images as part of the process.
Where to Stream
Our systems are setup to stream through our own social media channels, but some may wish to stream to their own social media channels. YouTube has fewer limitations than other platforms.
To allow us to stream through your social media site we require a few days in advance your social media login and your Google Gmail account, the one that corresponds to your active YouTube channel. This allows us to test and set up your live stream so a link can be created that you can share with your live streaming viewers.
Comments During Streaming
You may want online audiences to make comments or pose questions, so they feel involved in the event. In this scenario you will need to have a dedicated member of staff logged in to your social media platform so they can comment back or relay questions during the physical event.
Video Recording Verses Live Streaming
Unfortunately, internet connections can be vulnerable and sometimes may go down, which means the live stream may stop. Though this is uncommon, we must tell you about our disclaimer regarding this. In other words, we cannot be held responsible if our internet provider (BT) goes down for a while. That is why some event organisers may decide that it is just as effective to have the event filmed only and not live streamed. It can then be uploaded to your social media channels or website at a later date and you can promote the event recording as and when you please.
If you do live stream the video (YouTube recommended) it will remain on your channel and can be viewed in the future.
Editing Options
You may decide that you would like your event video edited, for example, split into different chapters or by theme or speaker. This service attracts an additional cost and is quoted on a project to project basis.
Make an Enquiry
As you can see there are many options and we want to make the process as simple as possible. So, why not get in touch to discuss your event, and once both parties have a plan you will be able to make an informed decision.
